Calzone of the Day

  • 1 large pizza dough divided into 6

Filling

  • 138g Anchor Extra stretch mozzarella or
  • 165g Mainland grated mozzarella
  • 125g Anchor Food Professionals Cream cheese
  • 250g leftover cooked chicken/ ham/ bacon/ sautéed mushrooms
  • 125g Mainland Blue cheese crumbled or
  • 100g Mainland Parmesan shaved

You will need:

Heat the oven to 200C

Divide into 6 even pieces, shape each piece into a ball, flatten with your hand then roll each piece into an oval about 4-5mm thick

Place about 1/6 of the mixture in the centre of the dough oval, sprinkle with a little pepper

Fold each oval in half and press the edges together with your fingertips, crimp the edges so none of the filling can spill out

Place the Calzone side by side on a flour baking sheet brush with garlic-infused oil and scatter with parmesan

6.

Cook at 200 C for 15 – 20 minutes until the dough is puffed up and golden on top, serve hot with pickle and salad
